Lakeside Tackle is more than a tackle shop. We're building a small-scale agricultural operation right here in Williamstown, Kentucky, raising bait worms and producing natural worm castings for anglers, gardeners, growers and our local community.

From locally raised Lakeside Red Wigglers to worm castings and future garden products, we're growing this operation with a focus on local production and practical products that can be put to use right here in our community.

LAKESIDE RED WIGGLERS

Raised right here at Lakeside Tackle, our red wigglers do double duty. They're an excellent composting worm, helping turn organic material into nutrient-rich worm castings, while also giving us a locally raised live-bait option for anglers.

As our colonies grow, we plan to offer Lakeside Red Wigglers for bait, composting and growing applications.

WORM CASTINGS

One of the most valuable products from our worm farm isn't just the worms — it's what they leave behind.

Worm castings are a natural soil amendment produced as our worms process organic material. They can be mixed into garden soil, added to raised beds and containers, or used around established plants.

Our goal is to produce and package Lakeside Worm Castings right here in Williamstown.

LOCAL AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION

Lakeside Tackle’s worm farm is being built around a simple idea: use locally sourced agricultural and organic materials to raise healthy worms and create useful products right here in our community.

As we grow, we plan to work with local farmers and other area sources for suitable materials used in our worm-farming operation. Through vermicomposting, those materials can be transformed into nutrient-rich worm castings for gardens, plants and growing projects.
